About Winifred
♥Introducing sweet Winifred♥
Winifred is an 18 month old Kelpie x Border Collie x Cattle Dog gal - a wonderful chocolate box mix of all the best working dog breeds!!
After a rough start to life, and not having very nice humans around her as she grew up, she is now thriving in foster care and proving to be the most sweetest and loveliest girl in all the lands.
Winifred simply adores being your little shadow and, once she trust you, will be a loyal pal forever.
♦A quick message from Winifred♦
***Foster Mum says that I give the very best cuddles and that I have the best adoring gaze she has ever seen. She laughs at my front legs though and says that I am wearing odd socks. I have one Kelpie leg and one Cattle dog leg! I came from a place with lots of doggie pals but not a very nice human. I never knew that humans were so lovely and kind until I left there. Now I just want my very own humans forever!!***
Winifred is fantastic with other dogs. This stems from growing up in a large pack situation and being able to adapt and read other new dogs very well. She is super respectful and naturally submissive. She does still love to play, so a resident dog or two that are happy to chill but also have a polite run and play will be a good match for her. Her energy levels are fairly low for her breed and she is happy to potter about and just be doing whatever her humans are doing. She will still bust out a few mad zoomies though!
Winifred is crate trained, loves a car ride, she can sit on command, waits politely for food and her recall is great. She has started learning how to walk on a lead and making daily progress. She is a little too keen on the resident cat, so a home with no cats or other small fluffies will be best. She is not suited to city or suburban living and is looking for a rural home where she can be your daily farm companion or WFH buddy during the day and couch potato pal at night! Little kids in the house full time may still be a bit overwhelming for her at the moment but visiting children (or resident teenagers) should not be an issue.
This beautiful girl has done the hard yards and now needs a home where she can continue to learn and grow, yet still be given the boundaries and structure that all dogs need. She deserves a family that understands the needs of her breeds and can love and care for her.
