About Casper
Introducing Casper!
Casper is a Chihuahua born 10th June 2021.
Casper, her brother & her daughter were all surrendered to the facility as their owner is struggling to care for them (and themselves). All three came to us underweight & completely riddled with fleas.
Since being at the facility Casper has really started to let her personality shine. She's incredibly affectionate & tries to climb up you for love. Casper & Susie love being carried around in a little basket and she LOVES her food.
Sadly Casper didn't test well with other dogs (other than Ted & Susie), so she will need to be the only dog at home, outside of her family. Casper can be rehomed with her daughter Susie or brother Ted as they all get along very well.
Casper seemed to be scared of our resident cat & rooster. We believe that she could be suitable to live with other animals if given a slow & contolled introduction to them.
She still has so much to learn about the world and would love to be in a home where she is included as a member of the family. Casper will thrive in an environment that guides her with positive direction and lots of love and attention.
Casper has shown no signs of food aggression or separation anxiety since being at the facility. Casper hasn't been tested with separation anxiety while being completely alone, she has only been tested while being with her daughter Susie.
Casper's adoption fee is $1250 and includes her desexing & lifetime registration.
Casper is also regularly treated for flea and worms and is up to date with her vaccinations.

Adoption details
If you are interested in adopting one of our animals, please contact us on 0499 900 272.
Staff will ask more about your lifestyle and the information you provide will helps us to achieve the best match between the dog or cat and their new home. We will also have certain adoption requirements that have to be approved prior to meeting the animal (eg fencing requirements, no young kids, etc)
Once all of your questions have been answered and adoption requirements met and approved, its time to meet your potential new furbaby. This meet will be conducted at the shelter in the Hunter Valley.
Should you have an existing dog in your life, we will require a meet and greet to ensure that they get along.
The final step (pending agreement by both parties) is the payment of the adoption fee and filling in of associated paperwork for your new furbaby.
Congratulations, you have now saved a life!
