If Panettone were a person, she’d be that sweet old lady neighbour who offers you a homemade biscuit, asks how your mum is, and then steals your seat on the couch…and somehow you let her. 
She’s the kind of dog people meet once and immediately fall in love with.

She’s warm, affectionate, and has this beautiful way of gently becoming part of whatever is going on around her. She doesn’t like missing out on life; “oh, you’re getting up from the couch? I’ll come too!”. If you’re sitting down, she’s finding a spot nearby. She likes to know what’s happening, where you’re going, and whether she can come too. Being left out? Very offensive!

Don’t let her age fool you; Panettone still absolutely loves her walks and gets genuinely excited when she realises it’s time to head out. She enjoys getting out and about, having a good sniff, and being included in the adventure, big or small.

One of her favourite things in the world is her stuffed toys. She loves carrying them around in her mouth and proudly showing them off. She’s not really interested in playing fetch or tug; she just wants you to admire how lovely her toy is and tell her she’s a good girl. When it’s time to settle down, she’ll often bring a toy with her before snuggling up right beside you to join in on the cuddles.

She’s happy doing her own thing (most likely hanging out with her toys) when you’re around, and she’s very easy to live with. She enjoys following her people from room to room and settling nearby, just happy to be part of the day to day rhythm of the house.

Panettone has been lovely with other dogs in foster care and would happily live with a calm canine companion, or equally be content as the centre of someone’s world, as long as she gets plenty of time and attention from her people.
She would suit a home where she can be included in daily life, enjoy her walks, and spend her evenings relaxing close to her humans.

Panettone is a senior girl in lovely health, and still full of life, love, and personality. She has so much love to give, and whoever welcomes her into their home is going to gain an incredibly loyal and devoted companion.
