🐈 Cats- Yes please! Hugo must go to a home with a friendly resident cat or alternatively Hugo would love nothing more than to be adopted with one or both of his brothers
🐶 Dogs- Hugo currently lives with dogs and would be happy in a home with a cat-friendly dog
👦 Children- Untested but would likely be happy in home with respectful children
Meet Hugo, the super chilled, beautiful pure black boy.
Hugo and his 2 brothers (Paco and Giorgio, also up for adoption) were all adopted out as kittens to the same home, where they were loved and thrived having each other. Sadly, due to an unforeseen and tragic accident, their owner was no longer able to care for them, and through no fault of their own, the brothers found themselves back in care.
Hugo is extremely affectionate. He is always actively seeking out his human foster parents for pats, hugs and kisses. In return, Hugo rewards you with the loudest, most content purr and plenty of nudges asking for more. He’s wonderfully sassy while doing so, proudly strutting around with his tail swaggering as if he owns the place (because, in his mind, he absolutely does!).
When Hugo isn’t curled up beside his carers, he’s usually up to some cheeky antics. Whether it’s zooming around the house with the other cats (especially his brothers) batting around his toys, or investigating anything that looks remotely like fun, Hugo brings joy and entertainment wherever he goes.
Hugo absolutely adores the other cats in his foster home. Because of this, he will need to be adopted into a family who already has another friendly cat. Alternatively, Hugo would love to be adopted alongside one of his companions: his brothers Giorgio, Paco or his favourite foster sibling Cindy Lou, who are all also looking for their forever homes.
Hugo has also met big puppy dogs in foster care and isn’t phased by them at all. In fact, he’s quite curious and would happily share his home with a cat-friendly dog. He uses his litter tray perfectly and never misses a meal (dinner time is one of his favourite parts of the day!)

Adoption details
Please email us at adoptions@heartandsoulrescue.com.au if you are interested in adopting one of our precious souls, and we will email you our Adoption Application Form.
Once we have received your completed form, we will then contact you to discuss suitability. If we feel one of our cats or kittens will be suited to you, we will arrange a home visit or ask for a short walk-through video of your home.
If all goes well, we will give you a *trial period of 2 weeks to see if our cat or kitten is the right one for you 💕 *Conditions apply - We reserve the right to reject a full refund if recommendations & requests regarding your new cat/kitten have not been adhered to. (A 25% admin fee will apply)
