About Aurora
Meet Aurora 🐾
Age: 3 years | Gender: Female | Location: Horsfield Bay
Aurora is a sweet, affectionate girl who just needs a little time to feel safe. She is naturally shy and will likely hide at first while she learns her new surroundings, but with patience and kindness she blossoms into a very smoochy, loyal companion who enjoys gentle pats and quiet company.
Aurora came into care after being found on the street heavily pregnant. Although she was microchipped, her previous owner chose not to collect her because she was pregnant. Two days later she gave birth to five healthy kittens. She was a wonderful mum and all of her babies have now found loving homes — now it is Aurora’s turn.
Once comfortable, Aurora becomes playful and enjoys climbing cat trees and playing with balls and feather toys. She has a calm nature and a very light tread around the home.
She is fully litter-trained (pellets or sand) and has never had an accident. She eats wet and dry food (dry preferred) and loves drinking from a cat fountain. She has been an indoor cat in DCH care but could be an indoor/outdoor cat once settled.
Aurora would suit a quiet home with a single person or couple, ideally without young children (loud noises startle her).
Healthy and gentle, Aurora is ready for a peaceful forever home.

Our animals are rescued from various pounds and shelters and placed in Foster Care until a permanent home can be found. Our volunteer Foster Carers are located throughout Sydney, Australia and are only too happy to assist you.
DCH Animal Adoptions relies solely on our adoption fees and the generous support of the community to continue our rescue work. Many times, we are faced with large veterinary bills due to the illness and injury that comes along with looking after pound rescues.
