About Peanut
Meet Peanut – the ultimate love bug.
Peanut starts purring the moment she sees you and absolutely smashes the “dangle test” — she’s so relaxed you can carry her like a baby without a single complaint. Personal space? Not a thing for Peanut. She wants to be as close to her foster mum as physically possible, curling up under her chin or draping herself across forearms, purring away contentedly.
Peanut adores the company of Lala, her foster mum’s cat, and enjoys feline companionship. Zoomies are a favourite between the two cats. Peanut has unfortunately had a negative experience with a large dog, so she’s learnt to avoid downstairs when the dog is about — instead, she waits patiently on the stairs to be carried down for breakfast or dinner. Because of this, Peanut would be best suited to a home without large dogs. Smaller, calm dogs may be considered with the right introduction.
With her sweet nature, chilled-out personality and adorable white socks, Peanut is a truly special girl just waiting to steal someone’s heart. Is that you? Please complete the on line preadoption application to meet Peanut. If you look like being a good fit for Peanut, one of our volunteers will contact you to get the ball rolling. Adoption details
STUFF YOU NEED TO KNOW: I will come desexed, vaccinated (1st F3) and microchipped and will have up to date worm and flea treatments.
ADOPTING ME: You must be able to provide me with a loving long term and safe home. I would be fine in an apartment as long as I didn't have free run of the balcony if it wasn't fully enclosed. Please ensure your house or apartment can contain a cat inside (ie fly screens etc).
Please remember that I have thought seriously about taking you on and when you take me home, I am committing to you for life. So, I hope you have thought seriously about this and are likewise planning on committing to me.
ABOUT YOU: Given you know all about me, my foster parents would like to know something about who my new parents are going to be. They have rescued me and have given me a lot of care and love. I know they love me and therefore want the best for me.
ABOUT US: AWL Western Suburbs branch wants to promote adoptions of cats from our foster carers & pounds. If you would like to help us, please feel free to contact us and find out how you may assist, including being a foster parent.
All adoptions will require a Pre-adoption application form completed and returned prior to a meet & greet with our cats. Please note that several people may be applying for the same cat so we need time to review all applicants. We do not re-home to the first to apply, we re-home to who best suits the needs of the cat or kitten. All applications will be considered individually and approval will be at the discretion of the AWL NSW Branch Representative, with their decision being final.
