About Pearl
Pearl is a beautiful little girl with a sleek black coat, perfectly accented by a crisp white chest and dainty white “socks.” Her bright eyes are always full of curiosity, especially when there’s something moving nearby; whether it’s a TV show, a dangling shoelace, or the world outside a sunny window.
💕 Pearl is as sweet as they come. She absolutely loves:
🐾 Watching TV (yes, really!)
🐾 Curling up comfortably on a warm lap
🐾 Chasing shoelaces, strings, and anything that wiggles
Her favourite spots in the house are wherever her people are, especially laps. She also adores cozy beds for naps and sunny windowsills where she can quietly observe birds, cars, and the outside world.
When it comes to human interaction, Pearl is confident, loving, and wonderfully social. She purrs the moment she’s picked up or patted and isn’t shy about letting you know when she’s hungry. She’s very lap-seeking and thrives on affection.
👶 Amazing with Kids
Pearl has proven to be exceptional with children (including little ones aged 2 and 6). She happily allows herself to be picked up, cuddled, moved around, and showered with kisses. She has never scratched, bitten, or shown fear, in fact, she actively seeks out the youngest child, who gives her the most attention!
Pearl truly loves people of all ages and would thrive in just about any loving home — from families with children to individuals looking for a devoted little companion. As long as there are laps to sit on, windows to watch from, and hearts ready to love her, Pearl will fit right in.
If you’re looking for a sweet, playful, and endlessly affectionate kitten, Pearl might just be your perfect match 💖

Adoption details
ADOPTION PROCESS:
1. An Adoption enquiry should be made via
https://form.jotform.com/shellys.place.rescue/adoption-enquiry
2. Once your application has been received, one of our volunteers will contact you for a phone interview. This is to determine whether one of our cats or kittens will be a good fit for your home. We all want long-term success in placing rescue animals, so finding the best fit for the animal AND the family is very important.
3. 'Meet & Greet' with the animal and their carer will then take place if the application is approved.
4. A property check will take place via a video. Once this has been successfully completed, adoption paperwork finalised and the adoption donation processed, the pet can be collected from foster care.
5. A 14 day settling-in period commences once the animal has been collected from foster care.
6. Adoption is finalised after 14 days. Paperwork/records will be included in an adoption pack.
7. All animals will be rehomed desexed, 1st vaccinated, microchipped and treated monthly for fleas and intestinal worms. Once the adoption is finalised, the new owners are responsible for all vaccinations and preventative treatments.
As we are run entirely of volunteers we endeavour to respond to your enquiry as soon as we can. Your patience is greatly appreciated.
PLEASE NOTE: We are unable to hold any animals. Please only apply if you are ready to adopt now.
