About Leroy
Meet Leroy 🐾
Leroy is a 8-year-old Beagle with the kindest eyes and a face that tells a thousand stories. At this stage of his life, he’s not asking for much — just a safe place to land, gentle hands, and someone to call his own.
Older dogs like Leroy are often overlooked, but they have so much love left to give. He’s past the chaos of puppyhood and ready to enjoy the quieter moments — soft beds, warm sunshine, and companionship.
Leroy deserves to spend his golden years feeling secure and loved. If you have room in your heart and home for a sweet senior soul, he would love nothing more than to be your loyal little shadow. 🐶✨
Medical notes
Leroy was desexed on 21.1.2026. Leroy's left testicle remains in the groin and is located in a very difficult to reach area, posing a great surgical risk to remove. He is likely to be infertile as the testicle willbe warmer and smaller than a scrotal testicle. No tattoo has been applied to either ear.
Adoption details
Dogs:
(1) The first step is to complete the online adoption application form at https://southerndownsark.com.au/apply-to-adopt/ Please answer all questions and include photos of your yard and fencing.
(2) All applications will be considered by our Adoption Team, following which a "meet and greet" will be offered to the top-ranking applicant.
(3) If the “meet and greet" is successful, the applicant may adopt the dog and take him or her home the same day.
(4) For successful interstate applicants, different arrangements may apply and will be negotiated on a case-by-case basis.
Cats:
If you are interested in one of our cats or kittens, please click on the green "Enquire about ...", button, tell us a bit about yourself and the home you can offer the cat, and one of our volunteers will be in touch.
