About Rosalie
Rosalie is the kind of cat you don't notice straight away. She doesn't call out. She doesn't press herself against the door. She doesn't try to compete with louder, bolder personalities around her. Instead, she waits ... quietly.
Rosalie came to us from a home with 15 other cats, already a mum herself, doing her best to care for kittens while still just a baby. Those kittens have since gone off to foster homes and are starting their own happy stories. Rosalie, meanwhile, is still here, watching from the sidelines.
She has spent time in a loving foster home, and that's where we truly met her. In a calm, safe environment, Rosalie is sweet, gentle and deeply endearing. She seeks soft affection, settles into routine, and shows her love in the quietest ways. She is, quite simply, the soft-spoken version of a cat.
The shelter is hard for Rosalie. It's noisy, unpredictable, and overwhelming and she doesn't present well here because of it. She retreats instead of reaching out. But please don't mistake her silence for lack of love. She just needs the kind of home that understands that not all cats shout to be saved.
Rosalie will need a gentle, calm household. A person (or people) willing to move slowly, speak softly, and let trust grow at its own pace. She may never be bold, but she will be loyal, tender, and quietly devoted to the person who gives her a chance.
If you are looking for the cat who needs saving the most.
If you believe that the quiet ones matter just as much.
If you want to truly change a life.
Rosalie is waiting.
Rosalie is part of our Rescue or Rehome program, where we are committed to finding homes for cats and kittens who simply cannot cope in the shelter environment. If you can open your heart and home to Rosalie - or if you're a rescue group able to help - please reach out to us at adoptions@dogshome.com
