What is Paxton like with unfamiliar people?
Great - loves everyone
Please tell us more about how Paxton behaves around unfamiliar people.
It is not about the person, but when moved to an unfamiliar location he may need time to familiarise himself and may be shy during that period.
Please tell us about how Paxton interacts with other pets in your household.
He has been bonded with Rion since we got him in 2021. They get along great and never fight. Though they do argue. He does not get along with Casper. The two of them cannot be in the same space together. For some reason when separated by cage bars they interact well, sniffing each other and not showing aggression. However, when not separated they are aggressive with each other to the point where they have tried biting each other.
Is Paxton bonded to another pet(s) within your household? Would you prefer us to create individual adoption profiles for your pets, or a 'bonded pair' style listing?
Yes he is bonded with Rion and I would like them to stay paired after adoption. I would also like their cage mate Casper to stay with them given that they have gotten along with the bars in between the last five years. However, Casper is a lone pig who lost his partner last year due to heart failure. I understand that he needs to be bonded to achieve his best quality of life. So I understand if he needs to be adopted by a separate adoptee with their own lone pig.
Tell us about Paxton's overall health and wellbeing.
It's great! My pet has had a check-up within the last 6 months, and their vet hasn't recommended any additional treatments or procedures.
Please tell us more about Paxton's health.
I took him to the vet last week, and no conditions were found and no additional treatment was recommended.
Adoption details
When enquiring about a pet listed with Home2Home, your enquiry goes directly to the pet’s guardian—the person who knows them best!
From here, the guardian will be in touch to learn more about you and chat with you about their pet. It’s a great opportunity for you to ask any questions you may have about the pet, including its likes and dislikes, needs, and how it may fit into your lifestyle and family.
If your home and lifestyle match the pet's needs, the next step will be arranging a meet-and-greet to make sure everyone is happy to proceed with a formal adoption.
Following the adoption, change of ownership paperwork will be completed, and proof of vaccination, microchipping, and desexing (if applicable, as indicated on the listing) will be provided.
All pets adopted through Home2Home will require an adoption contract to be signed and an adoption fee to be paid. The pet’s guardian will complete the adoption contract with you and provide a link to PetRescue’s secure payment portal for completing the adoption fee payment.
Home2Home currently operates a ‘pay what you choose’ system for cat adoption fees. This means that adopters will be able to choose an adoption fee amount that is suitable for them. All adoption fees are used to support PetRescue's life-saving programs, including Home2Home.
