About Storm
Storm is a sweet Lab mix with a gentle heart and a thoughtful personality. Once she feels comfortable, she happily leans in for affection and loves being close to her people. She's especially motivated by tasty treats and a fun squeaky toy, which makes training both rewarding and fun. Storm already knows "sit" and "drop" and is eager to keep learning!
New situations and other dogs can make her a little unsure. For now, Storm is looking to be the only dog in her home so she can continue building her confidence at her own pace. She would benefit from working with a positive, force-free trainer to help her gradually feel more comfortable around other dogs.
Storm would do best as an indoor/outdoor dog with access to a secure backyard where she can safely stretch her legs, explore, and enjoy some fresh air. She would thrive in a calm, committed home with adults or older children who can provide the patience and guidance she needs. With time, understanding, and encouragement, Storm has so much potential to blossom into a loyal, loving companion who will form a truly special bond with her family.
Adoption details
Our adoption process is designed to match you with the right pet, the first time. Our team are experts at rehoming animals who have specific needs that match your lifestyle, to ensure every adoption placement will last a lifetime.
At our Peninsula site, adoption hours are 12pm – 4pm. You are welcome to attend our reception office without an appointment to begin our adoption process during adoption hours.
The adoption areas are not free to walk through, and you will need to chat with our staff to confirm that a potential adoption is a good match.
Once the adoption has been discussed, a staff member will facilitate a walk-through of the adoption areas or have an animal brought to you in a greeting area.
