About Muffin
Hi. I’m Muffin.
Yes, like the song (Do you know the Muffin Man?). And yes, my foster mum sings it to me. A lot. I listen very politely and never once complain about the singing. Even if it is slightly off key.
I’m a soft tabby boy with a very gentle nature. I play fabulously with my sister and the older foster cat here. We zoom around the house like tiny race cars, wrestle, chase each other and then collapse in a heap. I love a good game. A ball, a toy mouse, something that probably was not meant to be a toy. I will bat it, chase it and do it all again. Running up and down the cat tower is one of my favourite sports.
I would be fine as an only pet. I really would. But I do love attention and pats and play, so if there was another kitten or friendly cat to tumble around with, that would be pretty great too.
Dogs do not bother me as long as they are calm. Once I know they are not going to be silly, I am quite confident around them. Children are fine as well. I will stay still for a quick cuddle, then I am off again because there is usually something important to chase. As long as children are gentle with me, we will get along just fine.
Strangers do not faze me. If someone wants to talk to me or give me a cuddle, I am happy to oblige. I am not a big meower, but I do squeak. Especially if I would like a lift up somewhere high. I will pop up on my back legs, lift a paw and give a little squeak. It works very well.
I love my food. Kangaroo meat is a particular favourite. Mealtime is serious business. Litter training has never been an issue. I am a very neat boy.
At night I like to lie close to my foster mum on the lounge or curl up near her on the bed. I am soft and gentle and never use my claws on her. I even tolerate being scooped up and turned on my back for belly rubs and a performance of “Do You Know the Muffin Man”. I listen with full attention and zero judgement.
I am affectionate without being demanding. Playful but gentle. Curious about the world and very happy to be near my person.
If you are looking for a sweet, loving tabby boy who will squeak for attention and curl up beside you at night, I might just be your Muffin. 💛
