About Toby
Toby is a 10-month-old pug cross with a playful spirit and the sweetest nature. This handsome little guy is full of puppy charm – he loves toys, cuddles on the couch, and being close to his people.
Toby has a mild right-sided lameness due to an old fracture that healed out of alignment. The good news is that it doesn’t stop him enjoying life and he still runs and plays! Toby has been to the specialist and had x-rays and a CT done. The specialist believes he is functioning well as he is and surgery would not be advised at this point. Toby is managing well, but he will need a home that understands he’s best suited to short, gentle walks and low impact play sessions rather than long hikes or high-impact adventures.
Toby’s affectionate, friendly personality makes him a wonderful companion. He loves to be where his people are, but he can also entertain himself with a toy or out exploring in the garden. At the end of the day, he loves to snuggle up with his head on his person as he naps on the couch.
He’s still young and still learning, so he needs a family with patience and the ability to teach him to be his best self. He is a little firecracker full of puppy energy. Toby walks well on lead and he is a social little fellow. He likes to say hello to the pups in the park and wiggles his tail in excitement. He also travels well in the car 🚖
Toby is 95% toilet trained and still learning the ropes with the doggy door.
Toby would thrive in a loving home where:
🐾 He enjoys short daily walks (10-15 mins) - more for his enjoyment and sniffing time than getting in a high step count.
🐶 He has another small, desexed dog who likes to play but won't knock him over.
🥰 His family are home often for plenty of cuddles and companionship
🐾 His family are willing to continue training and teaching him how to be his best self
If you’re looking for a loyal little friend who will fill your home with love (and a bit of cheeky puppy fun), Toby could be the perfect match. 💛🐶
Medical notes
