About Sookie
Meet Sookie – a social sweetheart with the cutest floppy ears 🐾
Sookie is a beautiful 6-year-old female German Shepherd with adorable floppy ears and a friendly, outgoing personality. She has come into our care from a Sydney pound and is now thriving in foster care, where she’s enjoying life alongside other dogs and having plenty of space to run, play and relax.
Sookie absolutely loves people and is happiest when she’s included and interacting with her humans. She is super social with other dogs of a similar size and enjoys their company, making her a great match for a home with a confident, compatible canine friend.
While Sookie has a lovely nature, she has had limited obedience training and will need a family committed to ongoing, reward-based training to help her learn her manners and reach her full potential. With consistency, structure and patience, Sooki will flourish and become a well-rounded companion.
Affectionate, playful and full of life, Sooki is looking for a family who will invest in her, give her the guidance she needs, and enjoy all the love she has to offer in return.
If you’re searching for a friendly, social German Shepherd with a big heart and floppy ears to match, Sookie could be the perfect addition to your family. 🐶💛
Sookie is currently available for adoption in NSW, ACT, Queensland and Victoria, If you live in Queensland or Victoria, you can be considered, however you will need to be able to drive with your family to meet her. If for any reason she doesn't fit your family you will be responsible for bringing her back to Sydney.

Adoption details
We have an Adoptions Manager who screens all prospective candidates as to their suitability to adopt a German Shepherd Dog.
We try to contact every one by phone but if that isn't successful we will email our application form to you, which needs to be completed and returned, or you can call us back and we can chat and complete for you. We will also ask you to provide photos of your yard and fencing to enable us to see where the dog will be kept and that they have areas of shade and shelter.
All our dogs are ready to go to their new home, so when you enquire about a dog you must be in a position to take them into your home. We are unable to hold a dog while you fix your fences or go on holiday, etc.
The successful candidate who adopts one of our dogs is provided with an information kit, ongoing support, training and advice on all aspects of feeding, training and general assistance to ensure both the new owner and our rescued dog settle into their home.
