About Teddy
Meet Teddy, a young Kelpie with a big personality and even bigger energy! This handsome boy is full of life and always ready for his next adventure. As a smart and active breed, Teddy will thrive with an owner who understands Kelpies and can provide plenty of physical exercise and mental stimulation to keep him happy and balanced.
Teddy hasn't had much training yet, so he'll need someone committed to starting from the basics and guiding him with patience, consistency, and positive reinforcement. With the right support, he has all the potential to grow into a loyal and well-mannered companion.
He's best suited to a home with adults or dog-savvy older children who understand how to interact respectfully with an energetic dog. Due to his size and enthusiasm, he'll need an owner confident in managing his strength and zest for life.
Teddy could happily go home with another young, energetic dog of a similar size who can match his play style and activity levels. He is not suited to living with an elderly or low-energy dog, as he needs a robust canine companion who can keep up with his zest for life.
Teddy would love to be an indoor/outdoor dog, enjoying time with his family inside while also having access to a securely fenced backyard where he can run and play safely.
If you're ready for an active, intelligent companion and are committed to helping Teddy become the best version of himself, he may just be the perfect addition to your family - and he's ready to find his fur-ever home.
Adoption details
Our adoption process is designed to match you with the right pet, the first time. Our team are experts at rehoming animals who have specific needs that match your lifestyle, to ensure every adoption placement will last a lifetime.
At our Peninsula site, adoption hours are 12pm – 4pm. You are welcome to attend our reception office without an appointment to begin our adoption process during adoption hours.
The adoption areas are not free to walk through, and you will need to chat with our staff to confirm that a potential adoption is a good match.
Once the adoption has been discussed, a staff member will facilitate a walk-through of the adoption areas or have an animal brought to you in a greeting area.
