About Socksie
Meet this sweet fellow, Socksie. He is a 1 year old kelpie x border collie mix who has found himself after a family to call his very own.
You can usually find Socksie trailing behind you at your feet, playing with his toys or having a nap. While his most favourite activity is hanging out with his humans, he’s also happy to hang out by himself or with his foster siblings while you’re at work as long as his needs are met.
Socksie is a food enthusiast, making training a breeze. While in care he’s been working on his basic commands such as sit, drop, wait and come. He’s also learning some fun ones as well, such as spin and rollover. Socksie has become fond of his crate, he sleeps peacefully overnight and will often put himself in there for some quiet time. He still can be skeptical of the big wide world so he needs some extra encouragement on walks. He would love a family that can continue his training and confidence building to keep his mind sharp.
He hasn’t been tested around cats but is polite around other dogs and gets along with his foster siblings of all sizes. He’s a gentle boy who’s not a jumper for attention so he’ll suit a family either with or without kids.
Socksie is looking for a family that has patience and understands he can still be shy in new situations with new people. If you can give him this you’ll be matched with unconditional love, loyalty and plenty of laughs. If he sounds like your type of guy, please reach out!
Socksie is located in NSW.

Adoption details
To apply to adopt a dog from Dogs4Jobs, you must firstly complete our adoptions application form in full at http://dogs4jobs.com.au/adoption-form/.
You can also write out your answers and email them to dogs@dogs4jobs.com.au
*Please note, due to the high volume of applications received, we will not respond to Petrescue chat messages, or enquiries to adopt a dog. You must complete our adoptions form to be considered for the dog or pup, and we will respond to this form via our email.
We will then request to complete a yard check, or for you to send in photos of your yard showing the fencing, space, shelter and any hazards etc, to confirm it is safe and secure, as well as adequate space for a working breed dog.
Following this, we will then put you in touch with the dog/s foster carer/s that you are interested in, to chat further over the phone, about whether the dog is a good fit for your family, and vice versa. We are searching for the perfect match for each dog and their needs. We offer interstate adoption on all of our dogs.
