About Ella
Meet Ella – Your Soul Dog in the Making 🤍
At just 1.7 years old, Ella is a beautiful Staffy girl with the softest heart and the sweetest nature. If you’re looking for a true soul dog, the kind who bonds deeply and loves you with her whole being, Ella is your girl.
Her favourite place? Right beside you. On the couch, pottering around the house, running errands, or heading off on a car ride, she simply wants to be included. She’s a professional little spoon, loves to give kisses, and takes her cuddling responsibilities very seriously.
Ella is house trained and has a lovely medium energy level. She enjoys daily exercise and will absolutely zoom around the yard like a goofy, oversized puppy. It’s impossible not to smile watching her. She would thrive in a home with a secure yard and someone home often, as she truly loves companionship and being part of the family. At night, Ella is learning to sleep in her crate and will need some support to settle there. During the day, she will curl up anywhere near you or in a comfy sunny spot, soaking up a nap in comfort.
On walks, Ella is calm and non-reactive. She is still learning what a “proper walk” is, so at the moment they are more joyful sniffaris than fitness runs, and she is very proud of that.
Ella has shown beautiful social skills with her two foster siblings and knows how to adjust her play style — gentle and sweet with her soft-natured Staffy foster brother, and ready to rumble appropriately with her wrestling queen foster sister. All play is currently supervised. Just like her foster siblings, she loves to play and sometimes forgets to stop. She is still learning to regulate herself and occasionally needs her humans to step in when she is getting overtired or overexcited. Ella is also discovering that she is now a big girl, not a little puppy, which makes learning these new boundaries all part of the fun. With guidance, she responds well and settles.
Ella’s previous owners mentioned she had shown some food guarding behaviours. In foster care, she has shown wonderful progress and is currently happy to wait her turn as third in line for chicken and treats with her foster siblings. She happily shares toys and beds, and she is comfortable playing tug with humans. Sibling tug is something she is still working towards.
We don't feed dogs together and recommend if you do have an existing dog not to feed dogs together.
She is incredibly willing and eager to please, doing well with crate and muzzle training, and genuinely wants to learn.
She could benefit from shedding a little bit of extra weight, which will come naturally with consistent exercise and a balanced diet in her forever home, especially with all those yard zoomies she loves.
What Ella offers is something special — unwavering love, loyalty, gentleness, and the kind of quiet companionship that feels like it was always meant to be there.
If you are ready for a shadow, a cuddle bug, a splooting goofball, and a once-in-a-lifetime bond, Ella is waiting. 🤍'
