After a rough start to life, Ruby is finally discovering what it means to feel safe, loved, and at home - and now she's ready to find a family of her very own.

Ruby is a beautiful Kelpie with the sweetest nature. She's playful, silly and always up for a bit of fun, but her absolute favourite activity? A full-body couch cuddle. Personal space is highly overrated according to Ruby, and if she can drape herself across you while you're trying to watch TV, even better.

In foster care, Ruby has blossomed into a wonderful little house guest. She's toilet trained, affectionate, gentle with children and loves being part of family life.

Ruby is still learning that the outside world isn't quite as scary as it once seemed. Loud trucks, alarms and sudden noises can worry her, so she isn't looking for a home in the middle of the hustle and bustle. Give this girl a quieter neighbourhood, patient humans and somewhere she feels secure, and she really begins to shine.

Because Ruby missed out on important socialisation with other dogs early in life, she can be unsure of how to interact with them. For this reason, she's looking to be the only pet in her new home - which, frankly, suits Ruby just fine. More humans and more couch space for her!

Ruby doesn't need a family who expects her to be fearless. She needs people who will continue showing her that the world can be a safe and wonderful place.

Ruby is currently on behavioural medication to help manage her noise sensitivity, and this has been an important part of helping her feel more settled and confident. Her new family will need to be comfortable continuing to support her with her medication and giving her the time and reassurance she needs as she continues to blossom.

In return, you'll get one very silly, incredibly sweet, full-body-cuddling best friend who has so much love ready to give. ❤️
