About Shakra
*In foster care in Barden Ridge, Sydney*
Shakra is affectionally referred to as 'little bestie' in his foster home due to his gorgeous nature and endless affection! He loves to eagerly greet whoever's at the door, keep you company around the house and get cosy next to you on the couch for a good long snuggle :)
While he's mostly a pretty chill dude, Shakra's still a kitten and he hasn't forgotten how to get his zoom on! Having lived with other cats his whole life, he'd adore a forever home with another kitten or adult cat friend to bond with.
If you’re looking for a loyal companion to steal your heart, this beautiful boy could be your purrfect match!
Like all Maggie’s pets, Shakra is microchipped, desexed, and vaccinated.

MY IDEAL HOME: ... will have a nice human or two to cuddle and play with me, and another nice cat to be my friend. Oh, and loads of comfy places to nap and LOTS of toys, please!
MY ENERGY LEVEL: Classic kitten vibes with some madcap moments in between!
MY SUITABILITY TO CHILDREN: I don't know any kids at this stage, but they enjoy playing and cuddling, right? Sounds good to me!
MY SUITABILITY TO CATS AND DOGS: My foster siblings and the resident cats in my foster home are terrific fun! The more cats the better, I say.
I haven’t met any dogs yet, but if yours is gentle, chances are I'll like them too :)
Medical notes
Shakra had cat flu as a kitten, and though he's fully recovered he did suffer some permanent damage to his eye. This has resulted in some cloudiness, but a specialist vet has assured us he still has perfect vision and is not in any pain. While there is a (highly invasive) surgery that could 'fix' it, we've opted not to subject him to any further stress.

Our foster carer will contact you when we receive your application to arrange a time for you to meet with their foster pet.
We want your adoption through Maggie's to be a good experience so we will occasionally suggest a different cat or dog that may suit your situation better and the needs of the individual pet.
All our pets leave for their new homes on a two-week trial. At the end of the trial, we will transfer the microchip into your name and provide you with the pets vet certificates. Once you receive the Certificate of Identification from council, your adoption will be complete.
