Meet Willy.

Willy is a shy, nervous soul who hasn't had an easy start in life. He doesn't know what it's like to play, walk on a lead, or feel completely safe in the world. Strange sounds, new spaces, even meeting people can feel overwhelming for him, but behind that timid exterior is a dog who desperately wants to love and be loved.

If you're patient and quiet, Willy will slowly come to you, pressing his little body close for comfort and trust. And when he does, he'll shower you with kisses and quiet affection, as if saying, "I may be scared, but I want to be with you."

We think Willy has never been socialized with other dogs, so for now he needs to be the only dog in the home and avoid dog parks. It's not because he's unfriendly- he's just unsure and frightened. What he really needs is a calm, safe space and someone who will let him take the world at his own pace.

Willy would do best with secondary school-aged children or older who can give him space and let him feel safe. With patient, respectful humans, he can slowly gain confidence and share all his love.
