Mario is an independent explorer who views your home as his personal platformer level. 🎮
The Master Climber: If there is a high piece of furniture, Mario will find a way to the top. He loves to survey his kingdom from above! 🧗♂️
Professional Napper: When he finally crashes, he picks the weirdest spots, tucked face-first into a corner, hidden under the couch, or perched on a bookshelf. 📚😴
Cleanliness King: He is incredibly fastidious with his litter box habits, he’s such a perfectionist that he’ll even cover up for his brother, Luigi! 🧹
Foodie in Training: This boy loves his meals. He’s definitely going to be a food-motivated cat who will do anything for a snack! 🍽️

Mario is a brave boy who doesn't need a library-quiet home, but he’s still learning that the world isn't out to get him.
The People: He’s great with kids and adults alike! While he’s a little shy with new faces, he warms up quickly once he realizes you’re a friend. 👨👩👧👦
The Crew: Mario is fantastic with other cats and would love a playful feline friend. He’d be especially happy to stay with his brother, Luigi, but he’s confident enough to go solo if he gets plenty of attention! 🐈⬛🤝
The Vibe: He’s still a bit jumpy around sudden loud noises (like the vacuum), so a family that can help him continue his desensitization training would be a plus.

Toys: Anything and everything! If it has a feather on it, he’s going to chase it until he's tuckered out. 🪶✨
Affection: He’s currently too busy playing to sit still for long cuddles, but he’s starting to appreciate a good belly rub and head scratch when he finally pauses for breath. 🐾

Adoption details
Our adoption process is as follows:
1. Submit an adoption application via our website at www.rescuecatsofmelbourne.com.au/adopt
2. We will be in touch with you within 48 hours if we wish to progress your application.
3. A meet and greet will then be organised so that you can meet your potential new family member!
4. Upon a successful meet and greet, an adoption day will be set for you to come and collect your new family member and sign all required paperwork
All of our cats come de-sexed, vaccinated, microchipped, flea treated, worm treated and with a clean bill of health.
Our 10-Day Health Guarantee: We want you to feel confident in your new family member’s health. We offer a 10-day cooling-off period specifically for health-related concerns. If your kitten shows signs of a pre-existing illness (such as a respiratory infection or parasite) within the first 10 days of arriving home, please contact us immediately. During this window, you have the option to return the kitten for a full refund or work with our rescue team to ensure the kitten receives the necessary care. We are committed to transparency and the wellbeing of our cats.
