Meet Lunelle – a gentle soul with a playful heart.

Lunelle is one of those dogs who quietly steals your heart. She’s had some tough experiences that have made her cautious about new people at first. But once she feels safe, her true personality shines through — cheeky, playful, affectionate, and deeply bonded to “her” humans.

She initially came into care needing anti-anxiety medication, but in a calm, predictable foster home she has absolutely blossomed and no longer needs any meds. These days, the only signs of her past worries are the occasional over-protective bark at unexpected noises (she settles quickly once she realises her humans have it covered), and rare nervous wee accidents indoors.

Lunelle is good with both men and women. While she hasn’t had much close contact with children, she’s happily met them on walks. She does need a home with a calm, confident resident dog — she takes her cues from other dogs and gains a lot of confidence from them. With dogs, she is friendly, polite, and keen to engage.

She does have a strong prey drive, so she’s not suited to homes with cats, birds, or pocket pets.

Lunelle knows her basic commands and walks reasonably well on lead, though she’ll need continued gentle training and structure. She’s shown no destructive behaviours — no chewing, digging, or escaping. Her only “naughty” habit? Counter-surfing. Salmon skin = yum. Butter = yum. That packet of flour? Also yum 😅

If you can offer Lunelle a calm, stable home with a mentor dog and plenty of love, she would love to meet you. Under that shy start is a truly beautiful, loyal companion just waiting to belong. 🐾💗
