About Honey
Meet Honey, a 2 ½-year-old American Staffy who is warm and loving and has an inquisitive nature. Weighing in at approximately 20 kg, Honey may not be the largest pup at the park, but her heart is as big as can be. Her charming personality, complete with head tilts and attentive ears, is bound to capture any conversation.
At first glance, Honey may seem timid around cats, but given some time and space to observe their peculiar antics, she soon finds herself comfortable with them. We feel a home without dogs would be preferable.
Honey thrives around young children, keeping things lively with her joyous zoomies, although her energy sometimes results in accidental bumps. Therefore very dog savvy younger kids or older kids will be the best for her.
She's best suited to families who can balance her energy with playtime and then couch cuddle time! Honey is very enthusiastic to get started on a walk on her harness but does slow down but will of course benefit from training to refine her walk and recall skills.
Honey does need a well fenced yard with no escape route as she can only see future adventures outside the window and will head off at first chance if a door or gate is left open. She won't go far but if adventure beckons, she will say yes :)
Honey is completely at ease with nature. Whether she’s greeting larger doggie friends at the dog park or lounging in the sun in the backyard, she’s on top of the world. She prefers the comfort of her blanket on the floor or couch over a crate, which helps her feel secure and relaxed at home. Although smaller dogs bouncing around may elicit a growl, Honey communicates her boundaries with grace and respects the space others offer her.
Honey is house trained and loves exploring outdoors, taking care of her business through a doggy door. At home, she enjoys the warmth of the sun, taking full advantage of her backyard for sunbathing sessions. She loves car rides so happy to tag along wherever your adventures might lead. Honey thrives on a raw food diet and may require a little extra attention owing to allergy flare-ups that can cause her skin to become red and itchy.
For the family seeking a loving and inquisitive four-legged friend who is as playful as she is caring, Honey might just be the ideal companion to welcome into your home!
