Meet Ferdinand - a handsome 2.5-year-old Staffy cross with a big heart and an even bigger love for butt scritches!

If you’re looking for a loyal, affectionate companion, Ferdi is your guy. Once you’re “his person,” he’s all in - cuddles, devotion, and enthusiastic butt rub requests are part of the daily routine.

Ferdinand is a clever, food-motivated boy who already knows sit, touch (hand target), and look, and absolutely thrives on learning. He loves nose work, toys, and will happily show off for a treat (especially if there’s a camera involved!). He walks well on a harness and is continuing to build his skills and confidence out in the world.

He does best with structure, routine, and clear guidance, and really shines when he knows what’s expected of him.

Ferdinand is looking for a calm, experienced home where he can continue to grow and feel secure. A single-pet home would suit him best as he settles in, although he has shown social behaviour with other dogs and would benefit from positive, well-managed interactions over time.

Ferdi is currently on medication for anxiety, which can be gradually reduced (under vet guidance) once he is settled and feeling secure in his new home.

In return, you’ll get an incredibly devoted dog who forms a deep bond with his people and brings endless love, personality, and those famous butt scritches.
