About Colin
Meet Colin, the 4 kilo cuddle expert
Colin is a pure breed miniature poodle with a soft nature and a lot of love to give. He has been freshly groomed, desexed, microchipped, flea and worm treated and his full puppy vaccines and yearly boosters are up to date. He is ready for a calm patient home that will keep helping him grow in confidence.
*We have included his "before" photo to show why he needed a close shave due to matting**
Personality
Colin is a very snuggly boy who wants to be close to his person at all times. If you lie down he will quietly climb on top of you or perch on your side like a little featherweight heater. He adores contact and he melts the moment he feels safe hands on him.
He was never fully toilet trained in his previous home but he is doing amazing in foster care with consistency and a simple routine. He likes predictability and he thrives when life feels steady.
Colin can be a little head shy although this is improving every day. Once he trusts you he relaxes completely and becomes a sweet gentle companion. He is fine with other dogs and enjoys their company. Like many small breeds he can bark at times, especially when he wants reassurance.
Home needs
Colin needs secure suburban fencing because he has clever little legs and zoomies that can find gaps in farm style fencing. If you are in an apartment, fencing requirements do not apply.
His coat is soft, fluffy and needs regular grooming to keep him comfortable.
His story
Colin came from a home where there were too many dogs and not enough attention to go around. Since arriving in foster care he has blossomed into a cuddly confident boy who loves routine, warmth and gentle people.
Why you will love him
Colin is affectionate, sensitive and loyal. He will follow you from room to room and settle wherever you are. If you want a companion who makes every quiet moment sweeter, Colin is perfect.
