About Loki
Are you looking for a loyal and loving companion? If so, Loki will be your walking buddy and all round best friend.
He is a happy boy who adores his people and would also like another chihuahua or small dog to keep him company when you’re not home. Perhaps more suited to a male dog as although Loki is desexed, he can be very amorous towards the girls!
Loki welcomes human visitors to your house being friendly albeit a little shy at first. Due to a negative experience while staying in a home with big dogs, he needs reassurance if they come up to him when out walking. He isn’t a fan of small children either.
A special and endearing trait of Loki’s is to greet you at the door with a big smile and adoring eyes, yes, he is one of those dogs who can smile! Another is to ever so gently enclose your fingers in a sort of air love bite when you reach down to pat him; it’s like a puppy love bite but being older, he knows not to contact your skin with his teeth. It’s very unique and lovely!
He loves car rides, and doesn’t mind being groomed. He’s an all round good boy.
Are you on the hunt for a loyal and loving companion? Meet Loki, a happy and cheerful dog in search of a new family. He adores his humans and would love nothing more than to be your walking buddy and all-around best friend. Loki has a particular fondness for the company of other small dogs, and he would thrive with a canine companion to keep him company while you're away. He's especially comfortable around other male dogs, given his desexed status and how amorous he can be with the ladies!
Loki's unique blend of friendliness and slight shyness around new people makes him a charming addition to any home. While he's not a fan of small children, he will delight in welcoming human visitors with his gentle demeanor. Loki does have a history that leaves him needing reassurance around larger dogs while out for walks, but with a little love and understanding, he quickly settles into his routine.
One of Loki's most endearing traits is his ability to greet you at the door with a warm, canine smile and adoring eyes. He also offers a unique form of affection: the "air love bite," gently enclosing your fingers without touching your skin when you reach down to give him a pat, showing off his understanding of boundaries even while being playful.
An all-around good boy, Loki loves car rides and doesn't mind a bit of grooming.
Medical notes
9 year old Loki is desexed and microchipped. He is up-to-date with vaccinations as well as flea, tick, intestinal worm and heartworm prevention.
Loki has a grade 3 heart murmur and after seeing the cardiologist at VCA Underwood in November, he is on Vetmedin medication only. He currently does not require any other heart meds, but they have recommended 6 monthly check ups with a vet to keep an eye on things.
Loki has also had a dental whilst in care and had around 20 teeth extracted. He has recovered well, and we also recommend annual dental checks with the vet as dental disease is a common problem in small breeds.
