About Atlas
All About Me and My Unique Personality:
I’ve just come into foster care and am a bit reserved and shy. I like to retreat until I feel safe to come out. I’m becoming more comfortable getting out and about. I can be sound sensitive and I’m getting used to household noise. When I am comfortable I play with all my might. I am particularly fond of ribbons. I’m calmer than my brother and often sit around and watch him goof off. I’m really good at stalking, hunting, jumping, and ambushing toy prey (And my brother of course). I snooze a lot during the day and am most active during the morning and evening, when it is not absurdly hot.
My Ideal Home:
I would want to be in a safe, secure, indoor environment. I’d love many things to climb on as I love being up high and many things to hide behind so I can stalk prey from the shadows. I need lots of toys and a person to play with me, especially while I’m young and bright. I need someone who will give me love but also understand I need time to develop trust. I need an owner who is patient with working with someone who is ok with the company of people but is not yet ready for actions such as pats and cuddles. I need someone I feel safe with to spend time with me to reveal by big personality.
What is Known About My Background:
I was handed into the pound with my brother. Not much is known about my past beyond this. My mother and father are unknown. For some reason, I am a little bit more shy than my brother.
How Do I Interact with Kids, Dogs, Cats and Other Pets:
I’ve not had contact with any animals (except for my brother) during my time in foster care, leaving my thoughts toward dogs and other animals unknown. I’m getting used to being around people and children but it will take a little time for me to develop trust. I’ve not interacted with cats outside my brother who I love very dearly.
