About Dotty
Meet Dotty, an adorable and gentle Jack Russell Terrier with a heart as big as her name. Born on February 22, 2021, Dotty is a sweet little girl who is hoping to find a cozy nest with a loving human or two. Her ideal home would be with a retired couple or person who can provide her the calm environment she thrives in. Dotty has a genuine love for companionship and would enjoy the company of another small dog, although she'd also be content with a devoted human who is often around to give her the love and attention she craves.
Dotty is friendly yet timid, requiring a little time to come out of her shell. Once she feels secure, she blossoms into a wonderful friend. She has a particular sensitivity around her neck, so gaining her trust is key to building a deep and lasting bond. Her home should be without children, as she needs a peaceful and stable environment with understanding individuals who respect her boundaries.
Little Dotty isn't a fan of being suddenly picked up, preferring gentle, patient interactions instead. Though she isn't lead trained yet (), her fondness for other small dogs and her love of treats can make leash training an engaging and rewarding experience.
Get ready to welcome Dotty into your home and heart, where her loyalty and gentle spirit will flourish alongside a caring and understanding family.
Medical notes
Dotty had dental extractions performed. She was rechecked in 7 days and sites have healed well.
Dotty has passed her medical and is ready to go.
Adoption details
Our adoption process is easy. You will receive a application for the animals you are interested in. Please full that in and send it back to us.
Even though you may be first to message, this does not always guarantee you will be chosen to adopt. By no means do we run on a "first in, first served basis". We aim to ensure that our animals are adopted into the most suitable home for them and the new family.
With all our animals, we go on what our vet has told us and what we believe the breed and age to be. We never guarantee the breed or age but take the best educated guess.
Please note: Our shelter is located in the Snowy Mountains. We are a 5 hour drive from Sydney and Melbourne and 2 to 3 hours from Canberra.
