About Tank
Tank is a exuberant, young, goofy guy. He'll need ongoing support with his arousal so his new family will need to work on impulse control, 4 paws, and general calm. He can become very excited and mouthy at times. Tank should be allowed indoors to be a part of the family. He'll do well with being included into daily family activities. Tank will benefit from crate training to give him a place to go for some down time. He has been very worried walking around shelter, lowering his body, putting on the brakes, slowly walking around with some food and vocal encouragement. Also seems to not understand stairs, so Tank may do better with a single story household. Tank absolutely loves his toys! Loves his squeaky toys, not interested in balls. Will self-play. Will need to work on his leave it and or drop cues though. Once Tank is comfortable, he can be very strong on lead. Will need to work on his loose lead walking. With all that said, Tank is a cute, silly boy who is eager to please. He currently doesn't know any basic cues, so he would love for his new family to continue his training. Teens only in the home who will need to be involved in his training, and they'll need to meet at time of adoption.
Must meet other dogs at time of adoption, was a little tense and pushy with the other dogs but otherwise social and playful, Best suited to a tolerant social doggy who can match his playstyle
