ROSIE
- Rosie is a soft, silky, shiny and sweet 9-month-old girl who can be shy but also be very loving and will follow you around watching everything you do once you have her trust. Especially if you are in the kitchen (where her favourite thing is) or the toilet.
- Rosie love toys - balls and mice are fun to chase!
- A great place for a cuddle from Rosie is on your lap. So, if you’re sitting on the sofa in the evening, watch out as she might jump up and make herself very comfortable. When she’s getting cuddles, she purrs so loudly she can be heard in the next room.
- Once she starts feeling comfortable and safe Rosie doesn’t mind new people or visitors. She’s not really sure about children, especially if they run a lot and are loud.
- Rosie has made good friends with her carers large dog and really loves their cats too, especially Bruce who follows her around everywhere!
- Being outside in a safe, escape proof environment is great fun but Rosie and Bruce mostly like being inside curled up somewhere comfortable and warm sleeping away the day. At night you will probably find them snuggled in between your feet.

BRUCE
- Bruce is a gorgeous happy 3-month-old boy who is as cute as a button!
- Bruce’s most favourite thing is food. He’s an active growing boy, so needs lots of food!
- Bruce’s second favourite thing is hanging out with other cats, especially his favourite friend Rosie. Rosie looks after him – she cleans me, sleeps and plays with him. Bruce would be lost without Rosie as she’s like his Mum.
- Bruce also gets on with the other permanent cats in his foster home although he’s a bit wary of the dog but he’s getting so much braver. When the dog comes to say hello, Bruce like to rub noses with her and give her a quick sniff.
- Bruce isn’t scared of new people as he always gets lots of cuddles from them, mainly because he’s very cute. He hasn’t had much to do with children, but he thinks if they played nicely with him, he’d be their friend too.

PLEASE NOTE: Rosie has had al her vet work done. Bruce has had both his vaccinations and conditions of his adoption are that he is sterilised and microchipped at the age of 6 months in early September 2026. These procedures are covered in the adoption fee and must be done at a SAFE approved vet clinic in Busselton, Vasse or Bunbury (other locations in WA can be arranged however this will increase the adoption fee significantly).

Our adoption process includes a two-week trial period to ensure you and your adopted pet are the right fit.

The adoption fee of $600 for Rosie and Bruce includes desexing, vaccinations, microchip (including transfer of ownership), flea and worm treatment and vet check.

SAFE Busselton requests that all persons adopting a cat adhere to responsible containment practices. As per the current Cat Laws in WA we encourage people to keep their rescued cat as a permanent indoor cat or with access to a safe cat run. It is no longer desirable to allow your cat to wander onto adjoining properties. Confident cats can also be trained to walk on a harness and lead. We ask that owners be responsible and keep their adopted cat safe at all times so that you will have a long and loving life together. SAFE Busselton reserves the right to select adoptive homes based on “best fit” for the pet. Although all applications will be considered, being the first application will not necessarily provide an advantage as the adoption committee considers many factors when matching animals to their new home.
