About Pumpernickle
🖤 Meet Pumpernickle 🖤
Pumpernickle is a true little survivor with the biggest heart. This sweet boy was found barely alive by a kind member of the public, born to a mama who was far too young to even realise she had given birth. Sadly, not all of his siblings made it, but Pumpernickle fought hard and chose life 💪🐾
He was welcomed into a loving foster home where another mama cat had just given birth and, without hesitation, she allowed him to suckle and be nurtured when he needed it most 🤍 After a few days, he was reunited with his own family—and from there he has absolutely thrived!
Now, Pumpernickle is a little fatty-boombatie, healthy, happy, and doing oh-so-well 😻 He’s grown up around lots of different children and is confident, gentle, and well socialised. This beautiful black boy is full of love and ready to bring joy to his forever family.
If you’re looking for a resilient, affectionate, and utterly gorgeous kitty, Pumpernickle could be your perfect match 🖤🐈⬛

Adoption details
Adopting with Kittie Kat Rescue Inc.
Bringing a new pet into your home is a long-term commitment—both emotionally and financially. Cats can live 15 to 20 years, so it's essential that all family members are prepared to provide love, shelter, and a safe environment for their lifetime. This includes premium nutrition, regular veterinary care, and ensuring they are kept indoors only or have access to a secure, cat-proof outdoor enclosure.
Our Adoption Process:
-Initial Contact & Questionnaire. We’ll start by sending you our adoption questionnaire via email or text message. This helps us understand your home environment and what you're looking for in a feline companion.
-Video Tour. We will require a video tour of your home, focusing on safety features such as secure screens on windows, doors and balconies. Plus, we’d love to see where your new kitty will be set up in their new home!
-Meet & Greet with the Foster Carer. Once your application is complete and approved, we’ll arrange a time for you to meet the cat with their foster carer.
-Adoption & Bringing Your Cat Home. In some cases, if your application is approved and the cat has completed all their vet work, they can go home with you straight after the meet and greet (an adoption fee is payable). Adoption paperwork will follow.
-Settling-In Period & Adoption Finalisation. Every adoption includes a two-week settling-in period from the time of adoption. If, for any reason, your new cat isn’t the right fit for your home, you can return them within this period for a 50% refund of the adoption fee.
-All of our cats come microchipped, desexed, with one or more vaccinations, and will be lifetime registered. Depending on their age, kittens may need their second (and potentially third) vaccination undertaken by the adopter after adoption. The transfer of ownership is completed as soon as possible.
Adoption fees:
-Kittens: $350
-Cats 1 - 3 Years: $275
-Cats 3 Years+: $200
All adoptions will also carry a lifetime registration/admin fee of $50 on top of the above adoption price.
