Imagine being so scared that you can't even allow yourself to be loved.

That's Georgia right now.

Georgia isn't aggressive. She isn't "difficult." She's just frightened - of hands, of noise, of the idea that something good might happen and disappear again. But despite all of that fear, she is trying. Every single day.

Her behaviour has already improved from where she started. Today, she began tucked away on the dark side of her pod ... and then, quietly, she made her way into the light. It might seem small, but for Georgia, that was huge.

She'll smooch gently against the wall, soaking in comfort without quite trusting touch yet. She's still hesitant with hands and will move away when one comes into her space - not because she doesn't want love, but because she doesn't know how to accept it safely yet.

And still ... she is so very lovely. So sweet. So worth it.

Georgia needs someone with patience and kindness, someone who understands that love doesn't always look like cuddles at first. Someone willing to sit quietly, move slowly, and let her set the pace. Someone who will celebrate the smallest milestones like the life-changing victories they truly are.

These are the cats people mean when they say they "rescued" a cat.

Not just adopted ... actually rescued.
