Emi May is a gorgeous little puppy with a bright, confident personality and a big love for people.
With a stunning tri-colour coat, she is naturally outgoing and enjoys being right in the middle of things. She loves human company, seeks out attention, and is always happy to greet new people with enthusiasm and charm.
Emi May’s dad is a Chi-Chi (Chinese Crested Dog x Chihuahua) — a mix known for loyalty, playfulness and strong bonds with their people — and her mum is a Maltese x Shih Tzu, bringing sweetness, affection and a love of companionship to the mix.
Together, these breeds produce bright, people-oriented puppies who thrive as much-loved family members.
Emi May enjoys outdoor playtime but is very much an indoor companion dog. She would be well suited to apartment, townhouse or villa living, provided she receives plenty of interaction and companionship.
She is living happily in a foster home with children who have excellent dog manners and understand that small breed puppies require gentle handling. (Check out the video of Emi May with her littermates at their foster home — please allow around 10 seconds for the video to load.)
Because Emi May is so people-focused and social, she will do best in a home where she can enjoy regular interaction and be included as part of daily life. She is affectionate, confident, and loves being close to her humans.
✂️ Desexing & Adoption Information
Emi May is offered for adoption under a Deferred Desexing Contract, as she is not yet old enough to be desexed. Her adoption fee includes the cost of desexing when age appropriate, subject to strict terms and conditions.

Adoption details
Dogs:
(1) The first step is to complete the online adoption application form at https://southerndownsark.com.au/apply-to-adopt/ Please answer all questions and include photos of your yard and fencing.
(2) All applications will be considered by our Adoption Team, following which a "meet and greet" will be offered to the top-ranking applicant.
(3) If the “meet and greet" is successful, the applicant may adopt the dog and take him or her home the same day.
(4) For successful interstate applicants, different arrangements may apply and will be negotiated on a case-by-case basis.
Cats:
If you are interested in one of our cats or kittens, please click on the green "Enquire about ...", button, tell us a bit about yourself and the home you can offer the cat, and one of our volunteers will be in touch.
