Wren is a beautiful young staffy x. She came into care as a stray and was very reserved initially but she has absolutely blossomed in care.
Wren is currently living with 3 smaller dogs. She loves to play with them but is also submissive - she would thrive in a home with another friendly dog. She is best suited to a home with bigger kids as she can be bouncy at times and has no concept of personal space or her size! She seems to think she is a lap dog like her foster bros :)
Wren knows the basics such as sit and stay and will benefit from further training. She is currently being walked on a harness - she will pull a bit initially but settles down. She is quite chilled out most of the time, but does have the random bursts of energy as all young dogs do.
Whilst she is happy to sleep outside, she also loves a cuddle on the sofa and is definitely looking for a home where she will be welcome to spend time inside with her humans. As Wren can be a little anxious/nervous at times, she will need a home with another confident doggy friend or a human that is home most of the time - she wouldn't be suited to being left alone all day. She is still learning to gain confidence when she is out and about and can get overwhelmed in busy situations with other dogs, so continued structured socialisation will be important for her.
Wren is prone to crystals in her urine and related bladder infections, so she will require a special diet (Hills Science Diet) her entire life to keep this under control. Therefore her adopters should have the financial means to take on the additional cost of a specially formulated dog food.
This sweet and affectionate girl will make a great family pet.
Wren is $350 to adopt and comes desexed, microchipped, C5 vaccinated, HW tested (negative) and given flea/tick/worm prevention.
