About Coco - 5 Year Old French Bulldog
Meet Coco
Coco is a 5-year-old desexed French Bulldog weighing around 11kg, with the classic bat ears, a compact little body, and an incredibly loving nature. Affectionate, loyal, and deeply people-oriented, Coco forms strong bonds with her humans and loves nothing more than being close. She’ll happily follow you from room to room before settling in for long naps on the couch or her favourite bed, complete with the sweetest little snore. Most days are calm and sleepy, though she does have a short and hilarious “gremlin mode” after dinner where a burst of zoomies makes an appearance.
Coco has a calm temperament and low-to-moderate energy needs. She enjoys short, relaxed walks where she can sniff at her own pace (long grass is a particular favourite), but as a flat-faced breed her exercise must be carefully managed. Walks should be kept under 30 minutes and done during the cooler parts of the day to avoid overheating. Around the home, Coco is quiet and rarely barks, making her well suited to apartment or townhouse living. She is very much an indoor dog who thrives on comfort, routine, and human companionship.
Coco is best suited to a home where someone is around most of the time. She experiences separation anxiety and cannot be left alone for long periods. With the right person, this can be gently built up over time, but initially she should not be left for more than 3–4 hours, and not every day. A work-from-home household or someone with a flexible schedule would be ideal.
While Coco is gentle and affectionate, she is not suited to living with young children. She is tolerant of them, but would be happiest and most relaxed in an adult-only home. Coco was not well socialised as a puppy and can be reactive to other dogs, particularly on lead. She has not done well living full-time with other dogs and would be best as the only pet in the home, with no cats or small animals,
Coco has some breed-typical care needs that are currently well managed. She has sensitive skin and allergies, which are controlled with medicated shampoos, a fresh food diet, and regular care. She also has a screw tail that simply requires routine checking and gentle cleaning as part of normal hygiene. These needs are very typical for French Bulldogs and easily maintained with a consistent routine.
Coco would be perfect for someone who:
• Is home most of the time or works from home
• Lives a calm, relaxed lifestyle
• Wants a deeply affectionate and loyal companion (LOVES, ONE ON ONE companionship)
• Is happy with a quiet, indoor-focused dog
• Can manage basic breed-specific care
• Has no other pets and no young children
Dog experience is preferred but not essential, the most important thing for Coco is patience, understanding, and a commitment to her emotional wellbeing.
In the right home, Coco will reward her people with unwavering loyalty, gentle companionship, the occasional burst of zoomies, and endless couch cuddles. She is a beautiful little soul who will thrive in a stable, loving environment where she feels safe and truly part of the family.
If you feel Coco could be the right match for your home, we’d love to hear from you.
