About Poppy
*In foster care in Manly, Sydney*
With her velvety blue fur and expressive green eyes, Poppy is definitely a natural beauty! She also has an incredibly soft, loving nature, a ready purr and a passion for strokes and cuddles :)
Gentle and affectionate, Poppy's never more content than when she's near her favourite humans, simply relaxing in their presence (with an occasional roll onto her back for belly strokes!). She also loves chilling out on her throne (the windowsill), soaking up quiet moments and watching the world go by.
Poppy would make a fabulous companion for someone looking for a calm, sweet and pure sweet soul to share their home (and life) with!
Like all Maggie’s pets, Poppy is microchipped, desexed, and vaccinated.

MY IDEAL HOME: I'm seeking a serene, loving environment where I'm given loads of fuss and attention. Cosy spots for lounging are a must, too!
MY ENERGY LEVEL: I've got a lovely calm vibe overall! You'll find that I spend most of my time lazing about, watching the household goings-on and enjoying pats. If I'm feeling energetic, I might play for a little while, or zoom off on a quest for adventure. Or I might employ my 'power move', which involves a dramatic flop onto my back, paws in the air, as if I've just fainted from happiness - all in a quest for belly rubs. (Ignore the invitation at your own risk… I'll just roll even harder until you give in!)
MY SUITABILITY TO CHILDREN: A home with respectful children who understand gentle handling will suit me best. Or even better, an adults-only household where I can fully relax and enjoy the peace.
MY SUITABILITY TO CATS AND DOGS: There's every chance I'd be OK with another calm, friendly cat after slow introductions :)
Though I haven't been tested with dogs yet, I may adapt to a nice cat-savvy dog with time and patience.

Our foster carer will contact you when we receive your application to arrange a time for you to meet with their foster pet.
We want your adoption through Maggie's to be a good experience so we will occasionally suggest a different cat or dog that may suit your situation better and the needs of the individual pet.
All our pets leave for their new homes on a two-week trial. At the end of the trial, we will transfer the microchip into your name and provide you with the pets vet certificates. Once you receive the Certificate of Identification from council, your adoption will be complete.
