About Oak
Oak is a bright little spark of a puppy, full of sweetness and curiosity. She’s the kind of girl who starts off a touch unsure, watching the world with wide eyes, and then, just like that, she warms up and becomes your cheerful shadow. Affectionate, playful, and always ready to engage, she brings a lovely mix of gentleness and joyful energy wherever she goes.
Being a young dog, Oak is still learning how to navigate life’s big lessons. She’s clever, eager to please, and very food‑motivated, which makes training both important and rewarding. She can be a bit bouncy and enthusiastic, sometimes forgetting her manners and hopping up to say hello, but she responds beautifully to calm guidance. With consistent training and plenty of socialization, she’ll grow into a wonderfully well‑rounded companion.
Oak absolutely lights up around other dogs. She loves to play and interact, though her excitement can sometimes bubble over into high arousal, so she’ll benefit from learning how to settle and stay calm during dog‑to‑dog moments. She’d thrive with a medium‑to‑large, confident, playful dog who can match her energy without being overwhelmed. If she’s the only dog in the home, she’ll need regular social opportunities to keep her social skills strong. She enjoys toys, loves a good game, and walks reasonably well on lead, though she’s still practising her loose‑lead manners.
This sweet girl needs an active home where she won’t be left alone for long stretches and where her mind and body will be kept busy. Children 12+ would be the best fit due to her boisterous puppy enthusiasm, and breed experience is a big plus. Oak isn’t fully house‑trained yet at AAPS, but with routine and patience, she’ll get there. If you’re looking for a loving, lively pup who will fill your days with affection, play, and endless charm, Oak might be the perfect addition to your family.
