Basilio

Basilio is a curious, energetic boy who is just starting to realise how brave and confident he can be. He is sociable, friendly, and very food-driven, making him a fun pup to engage and train. Still adjusting to his legs, he has plenty of endearing clumsy moments that only add to his charm.

He loves to play, especially with toys, his sister, and his Chihuahua foster sibling. His play can get a bit noisy or rough at times (all in good fun), but he is learning his limits and will walk away to calm himself when he has had enough. Basilio has a great off-switch: after bursts of exploring and play, he is happy to do his own thing and rest.

A true comfort-lover, Basilio prefers cool spots to lounge and will often choose the air-conditioned indoors over heading outside. He is very passive and comfortable being handled, enjoys a cuddle, but is also content entertaining himself.

Basilio has been fostered with a 1-year-old Chihuahua and a 6-year-old child, and he lights up when his human foster sister offers cuddles. He follows his Chihuahua foster brothers lead with toileting outside, is learning to use the doggy door, and has started working on “sit.”
