Meet Janis 🐾

Janis the toy poodle has settled into foster care beautifully. She loves being around people and has become my little shadow — happy just to be included and along for the adventure.

She adores her whole foster family (no favourites!), is food-motivated, and walks on a lead with a little prance 😉

She lives happily with our cat and two chickens and even helps herd the chooks back to their area.

Janis sleeps at the foot of the bed each night and only jumps up on the couch or chair beside you when invited.

She responds well to a whistle, has lovely manners, and toileting is becoming more consistent (she has a bladder of steel!).

Janis can be startled by unexpected loud noises and, while she doesn’t bark, she may sometimes very quietly whines if left alone in her safe space.

She would suit a home where she isn’t left alone for long periods and can continue building confidence.

A sweet, gentle companion with so much love to give! 💛
