About Bazilina
Bazilina is a female Domestic Short Hair cat available for adoption in Seaford (Melbourne, Victoria).
Bazilina is the kind of cat who seems to understand people. Friendly, affectionate and quietly confident, she enjoys being part of daily life while still keeping her lovely independent streak.
She’s wonderfully social with the people she knows, happily padding over for pats, rubbing against your legs and settling into a welcoming lap when the moment feels right.
A little about Bazilina:
🐾 Affectionate and people-oriented companion
🐾 Confident with familiar people and gently curious with newcomers
🐾 Enjoys both playtime and cosy naps
🐾 Best suited as the only pet
🐾 Happy indoors with play and window views, or in a quiet rural setting
Bazilina greets her favourite people warmly each day, often appearing for a pat or a quick hello before continuing with her own routine.
Her days are a lovely balance of companionship and independence. After some attention, she may wander off for a nap, settle into a sunny window, or entertain herself with toys before returning to check in again.
Wet food is a firm favourite and always earns enthusiastic appreciation.
With new people, Bazilina tends to take a thoughtful approach. She usually watches for a moment, decides things are safe, and then comes over to investigate.
One of her most charming traits is her remarkable memory. She recognises family members she may only see once or twice a year and happily rushes over to greet them once she realises who they are.
Bazilina would flourish in a home where she can enjoy companionship without needing to share her space with other animals.
She is seeking a single-pet household, without dogs or other cats, where she can relax and be the centre of attention.
Because she grew up in a country town and has very little road awareness, her safest environment is an indoor home with enrichment or a quiet rural property away from busy roads.
Life with Bazilina often feels relaxed and companionable.
Mornings may begin with a friendly greeting and a few affectionate pats before she settles into a sunny window to watch the world go by.
During the day she might pop by for a quick hello, enjoy a play session, or stretch out for a comfortable nap.
Evenings often include quiet companionship — a cat nearby who enjoys sharing space and gently weaving herself into your daily routine.
Bazilina’s guardian recently moved into aged care where pets aren’t permitted, and she is currently staying at a caring boarding facility in Ocean Grove while she waits for her next home.
For someone looking for a friendly, affectionate cat with a warm personality and a touch of independence, Bazilina could be a wonderful companion.

Adoption details
When enquiring about a pet listed with Home2Home, your enquiry goes directly to the pet’s guardian—the person who knows them best!
From here, the guardian will be in touch to learn more about you and chat with you about their pet. It’s a great opportunity for you to ask any questions you may have about the pet, including its likes and dislikes, needs, and how it may fit into your lifestyle and family.
If your home and lifestyle match the pet's needs, the next step will be arranging a meet-and-greet to make sure everyone is happy to proceed with a formal adoption.
Following the adoption, change of ownership paperwork will be completed, and proof of vaccination, microchipping, and desexing (if applicable, as indicated on the listing) will be provided.
All pets adopted through Home2Home will require an adoption contract to be signed and an adoption fee to be paid. The pet’s guardian will complete the adoption contract with you and provide a link to PetRescue’s secure payment portal for completing the adoption fee payment.
Home2Home currently operates a ‘pay what you choose’ system for cat adoption fees. This means that adopters will be able to choose an adoption fee amount that is suitable for them. All adoption fees are used to support PetRescue's life-saving programs, including Home2Home.
