About Mantis
Mantis is convinced he is the star of his own reality show and honestly he might be. He does dramatic entrances, flings himself into playtime like he is getting paid for it and then rolls onto his back with a little “look at me” face that works every single time.
He has the funniest habit of doing little tap tap taps on your leg when he wants attention, like a polite but very insistent waiter. He also loves to sit nearby and supervise all your life decisions with big focused eyes, even though he understands none of them.
Mantis is social, silly and so ready for a home that appreciates a kitten with enthusiasm, confidence and a strong commitment to being adorable at all times. He gets along beautifully with other cats and loves having company.
Medical notes
He previously had a mild episode of the common cat flu complex, which caused a little eye discharge. He was treated in care and is now healthy and comfortable. Some cats can have a small flare during big changes or stress, although this usually settles quickly with simple supportive care if needed. It doesn’t impact his quality of life and many adopters never see it again. If he ever does have a flare in the future, your vet can guide you.
Adoption details
*Please only apply if you reside 4hrs from Shepparton
* You will have a list of questions sent that you need to answer and send back.
* (For dog applications) Photos are requested of your yard, the fencing and any undercover shelter areas (patio/pergola) that must be sent through along with answers to questions.
* It’s not first in best dressed and we pride ourselves in finding the perfect family home for the animals in our care and make sure each family finds the perfect animal as well.
* We feed our cats on Lifewise, bags are available to buy from us.
* We also offer a 2 week trial on all animals that are adopted from this rescue organisation, if returned during this time a refund less 10% is given.
* Meet and greets are always taken prior to adoption, on the day if all goes well and you are happy, you can adopt on the spot and take your animal home to begin the next chapter together. We don't offer more than 1 meet and greet.
*All animals listed on our petrescue page are available for adoption until the moment they are removed
