About Casper
Casper is quirky, cool and much like his namesake this pleasant and personable little fella just might be the friendliest dog you know.
This porcelain prince can come across a tad shy at first (new friends are big feelings), but it doesn’t take long for his cheeky, plucky personality to shine though.
He loves his people, he loves his treats and he loves water, maybe a little too much as he turns into a lovable little crocodile the moment the tap turns on.
Making four-legged friends is still a work in progress, Casper is dog selective and can be a bit intense when introducing himself. Whilst he doesn’t mind a walking buddy, he would be best suited as the only dog in the home for now.
He would love a home where someone is around most of the time — not because he’s clingy, but because haunting the hallways is a job he takes seriously and he’d much prefer to have you along for the ride.
If you’re looking for a sweet, spirited companion who will quickly warm up into a lifelong soulmate, Casper might just be your perfect match.

• All adoptions must go through our Council website - so head over there!
• Search for the animal you are interested in by typing their name or impound number in the search bar
• Read through their profile & click the red button which says 'Submit an Expression of Interest'
• Next, we'll reach out to you
• If all goes well, we'll discuss the next steps and a meet & greet!
With all animals it’s important to understand that going into a new environment with new people may not be as flawless as we want it to be. It’s important to know that these animals have unknown histories. Most left in the shelter by their owners. The information we receive is from observing the animal’s behaviours & reactions to certain stimuli whilst in our care. Adopted animals can take up to 3 months to properly decompress from post-shelter life & a lot of behaviours & quirks will surface during this time. All that we ask is that their new owners have an open mind & are patient.
So please keep in touch with us after adoption so that we can help you settle your new family member in and address any unexpected behaviours.
The adoption fee for dogs covers C5 vaccination, health check, heartworm testing, desexing, micro-chipping, and registration.
The adoption fee for cats covers F3 vaccination, health check, desexing, micro-chipping, and registration.
