About Mikey
Meet Mikey — a big-hearted goofball with puppy energy and a whole lot of love to give.
Mikey is an affectionate, bright and sensitive young greyhound who thrives on human connection. He adores neck rubs and cuddles and will happily nuzzle into your lap or tuck himself under your arm… and yes, he will absolutely try to sit on your lap if invited. He’s happiest when he’s right by your side and will follow his people everywhere.
This energetic lad is best suited to an active home where he’s included in everyday family life. He’d love space for zoomies and games of ball — whether that’s with his humans or enthusiastically entertaining himself. Mikey is a proud collector of toys (and the occasional shoe), and his playful, inquisitive nature reminds you daily that he’s still very much a puppy at heart.
Mikey gets along well with other greyhounds and enjoys playing with them, though he can become a bit too boisterous, so guidance and supervision are important. Because of his enthusiasm, he’s better matched with responsible teenagers rather than very young children.
He’s a clever boy who understands boundaries well — a firm “no” or gentle correction is all it takes for him to stop and reassess. He’s also great at reading human cues and knows when to give space. At night, Mikey settles beautifully and sleeps all night in his own bed. Food? He loves it. All of it. No complaints there.
Walking is still a work in progress. Mikey has made lovely improvements and is now confident in a quiet street, but he’s not quite ready to push beyond his comfort zone just yet. With ongoing gentle guidance, patience and encouragement, he will continue to grow in confidence and blossom into a wonderful, loyal companion.
If you’re looking for a fun, affectionate greyhound who wants to be part of everything you do, Mikey might just be your perfect match.
