My name is Miwa!
I am an ex dove-release pigeon who found myself very lost and sad with nowhere to go and no one to claim me.
I prefer to have some space from you most of the time but I promise I make a really good secret keeper and I will still keep you company. When I am feeling confident I will fly to you and eat from your hand!
Because I am very shy and enjoy the company of my own kind, I need a home with another pigeon friend and with an owner who respects my personal bubble and/or is willing to work on it! I would be okay in a home or in an aviary outdoors.
I know I might not be super open at first, but I would really love a chance.

Once you have expressed interest in a bird, we ask that you formally apply to adopt via our adoption form (this can be done ahead of time) which can be found on our website:

Please make sure to read our HOUSING REQUIREMENTS and ADOPTION POLICY.
From there we will work with the adopter to find a bird that suits their lifestyle, and organise a meet and greet at our shelter. We offer continious support post-adoption and are always available for help or questions.
