Goose is a sensitive soul who finds the big, wide world a little overwhelming at first. He’s a "wait and see" kind of guy who needs a bit of time and patience to feel brave. He likes to start his journey as a quiet observer, watching from a secluded little nook until he knows the coast is clear. 🛡️👀

Once Goose feels safe, his "inner goose" comes out! He transforms into a vibrant, active, and adventurous kitten:

Because Goose is a bit of a "wary wanderer," he needs a specific kind of home to help him flourish:
The Support System: Goose cannot be a solo cat. He relies on his feline friends for confidence. He must go to a home with a sibling or another friendly cat to show him the ropes! 🐱🤝🐱
The Perfect Person: He needs a patient, persistent human who is happy to let him set the pace. If you’re okay with a slow introduction, he will reward you with a lifetime of love.
The Vibe: A home where he has plenty of small, secluded spaces to nap in while he adjusts to his new surroundings. 🧺💤
Note: Goose is a bit spooked by loud noises and sudden movements while he's settling in, so a patient home is key!

Adoption details
Our adoption process is as follows:
1. Submit an adoption application via our website at www.rescuecatsofmelbourne.com.au/adopt
2. We will be in touch with you within 48 hours if we wish to progress your application.
3. A meet and greet will then be organised so that you can meet your potential new family member!
4. Upon a successful meet and greet, an adoption day will be set for you to come and collect your new family member and sign all required paperwork
All of our cats come de-sexed, vaccinated, microchipped, flea treated, worm treated and with a clean bill of health.
Our 10-Day Health Guarantee: We want you to feel confident in your new family member’s health. We offer a 10-day cooling-off period specifically for health-related concerns. If your kitten shows signs of a pre-existing illness (such as a respiratory infection or parasite) within the first 10 days of arriving home, please contact us immediately. During this window, you have the option to return the kitten for a full refund or work with our rescue team to ensure the kitten receives the necessary care. We are committed to transparency and the wellbeing of our cats.
