About Horchata ( Cha Cha )
I'm sure you're heard of sweet and sour but this little lady is sweet and sassy all at the same time. She is very affectionate and absolutely adores human company but she will grumble at you while you give her pats and she rubs up against your legs.
It's likes she's saying "pat me but don't pat me".
We haven't figured out if this is just her way of communicating or if she's naturally a grumpy little princess but either way it's incredibly adorable.
Horchata or Cha Cha as we've started calling her, was surrendered to a vet in Fitzroy as she wasn't getting along with the young kids in the household. She had been on our waiting list so when we found out Cha Cha had been surrendered we contacted the vet to let them know that we could help and the amazing team there arranged to drop her off.
Cha Cha apparently made quite an impression in the few days that she was there, becoming good friends with the nurses, as they were quite sad to see her go. She had a check over while she was there and they said she is in good health.
Horchata is a sweet, affectionate and adorable little lady who just loves people. She loves a pat and a scratch, is happy to be picked up and cuddled, will rub up against your legs when she's in the mood for attention and loves to flop around on the ground in front of you and look adorable.
She has been a mix of loving and grumpy since she arrived but that is due to the fact that we have other cats running around here. She tends to keep to herself most of the time and come have a scratch and a cuddle when she's in the mood. Cha Cha is clearly a little intimidated by the other felines, even though they're friendly.
This beautiful little princess would clearly love to have a house all to herself. She needs her own little kingdom to rule over with her own personal human servants that she does not have to share with anyone else.
Cha Cha would be well suited to a quiet household with no kids and no other pets. She would be the perfect fit for a young single or couple who want to add a quirky ball of love to their home. A student or professional that spends a lot of time at home and can give her a lot of love would be ideal.
Photos don't do her justice so make sure you check out the adorable videos of her that we've uploaded. You can also find some adorable videos of Cha Cha on our socials @urbanfelineaustralia.
Horchata is approximately 15 months old and has been desexed, microchipped and vaccinated and is available for adoption right meow.
If you think you have the room in your heart and your home to provide this gorgeous soul with a great life please let us know and we’ll be more than happy to arrange a time for you to meet and fall in love with her.

A little about us:
Urban Feline Australia is a newly established cat rescue service, run by one passionate individual with the help of friends and volunteers, that is dedicated to keeping cats out of kill shelters and helping them find loving forever homes. We specialize in helping "surrenders" which are cats that have lived with humans previously but for one reason or another their owners are unfortunately no longer able to look after them. We take your pets into our amazing cat sanctuary where they're treated with love and affection until the right forever home is found for them.
Urban Feline Australia is not a large company with government resources, a large facility and a lot of staff. Our tiny rescue is a one man operation run from the safety of our own home. We do this for the love of animals and our only agenda is to save as many cats as we can. We rely heavily on cooperation from friends, other rescues, our amazing foster carers and the kindness of strangers to survive. Every cent we receive from donations and adoption fees is used to keep our rescue running and cover the cost of food, water, litter, equipment and vet bills for the animals in our care.
We are doing as much as we can right now but our dream is to one day be able to purchase a larger property or facility that would allow us to be able to save the lives of many more cats in need. Perhaps even open a cat cafe so that we can spread our message to a wider audience.
We have recently created a Go Fund Me towards this end so if you would like to donate towards our cause you can find it by searching for Urban Feline Australia.
Otherwise please check out our social media to learn a bit more about what we do.

Adoption details
We try to make things very easy and straight forward while at the same time making sure we are matching the right cat to the right home.
The first step in the adoption process is a quick chat over the phone to make you are able meet the cats needs and your home is a good fit for the cats personality.
From there we will organize a meet and greet the cats foster home where you will be able to see the cat in action and get a gauge of their personality.
Once you have adopted you new furry feline friend we offer ongoing support and you are welcome to contact us anytime if you have questions, concerns or need advice.
We work hard to make sure that each cat is a good fit for their new home but in the unlikely even that things do not work out we have a 21 day cooling off period and you are more than welcome to return the cat to us during that time.
We will happily refund 50% of the adoption fee or you are welcome to donate this refund to assist with the ongoing cost of the animals care.
