About Ryder
Meet Ryder a one year old black and tan Kelpie boy.
Ryder is a young Kelpie with a big heart, a lot of personality, and a few very endearing quirks.
He is a happy, affectionate boy who absolutely loves human company. He thrives on being around people and enjoys being part of the action. He is also great with other dogs and makes a fun, enthusiastic playmate. He loves a game of tug rope any chance he gets be it with a human or his dog friends.
Ryder’s training is a work in progress. He is not as driven as some Kelpies can be but he definitely tries hard. He has learned to 'sit' but his brain sometimes runs faster than his focus. Ryder is crate trained and sleeps soundly most nights, he enjoys his daily walks and is improving with his lead manners.
When excited, he also does the cutest little wiggle and tap dance with his feet – it’s impossible not to smile.
Ryder would do best in a home that's patient and understanding, values companionship over perfection, Is happy to work at his pace and can continue gentle, positive training without pressure. He would also do best in a home with another playful dog that could show him the ropes or a home where someone is home more often than not.
As he is still young and excitable Ryder would suit a home with no children or older teenage children only. He would also be best suited to acreage. Ryder is not tested with cats or other small animals.
Ryder is looking for someone who can appreciate that he is affectionate, quirky, social and full of heart. Someone who can see past his young and excitable enthusiasm and appreciate the very good boy he will become mixed with the good boy he already is!
If you think you have the home and lifestyle Ryder is looking for apply now.
