About Boof and Cookie
If you're looking for pets that adore their people, let me introduce you to Boof and Cookie, a bonded pair of affectionate, sweet and playful miniature Poodles. Boof (black male) and Cookie (black and white female) fell in love in foster care.
All the hard work has been done with these delightful dogs: both are fully toilet trained; they sleep soundly all night; they love to meet new people; they enjoy going for walks and car rides; Cookie and Boof bark if a stranger approaches the house but they are by no means yappy dogs - they are not fazed by thunder storms; they get on well with other dogs in their current foster home; however, they often try to get all of the attention as favourite place is snuggling on someone’s lap. Although they have many characteristics in common, they also have some differences.
Boof came into care after his elderly owner passed away. He was obviously loved as he is gentle, affectionate and intelligent and he doesn’t have a mean bone in his body. Boof (aka Sooty) has a soft, black coat which is a delight to stroke when he jumps on your lap for cuddles. Mr B recently completed treatment for heart worm and is now full of health and happiness. He will require two follow-up visits to the vet (paid by CAR) to get all clear but this is generally a formality.
Cookie DOB didn’t have a great start in life, but you would never know as she is very sweet and appreciates all the love, care and cuddles she has been getting since she was rescued. Miss C loves water and cools off in the dog pool when the weather is hot or after she has done some zoomies. She has a stunning salt and pepper coat with beautiful curls that make her look like a little lamb.
As they are miniature dogs, so they are small but not tiny - each weighs approximately 5 kilograms. These pups are lap dogs and are predominately inside dogs, although they also love to explore the garden and go for daily walks. They would suit a home that has more than one person and someone who is home more often than not as they love human company and getting lots of pats and cuddles. Both dogs require some grooming, but they are happy while having baths and getting brushed.
If you have any questions or would like to find out more about these special dogs, their foster mum is happy to have a chat with you.
