Meet Steven, the most handsome man around. He has been through a lot in the last while but is ready to find himself a family. Steven would be super happy to have a person, someone who is his best friend and spends a lot of time together. He tends to pick a favourite person and stick to them.
Due to recent events in Steven's life he has developed some anxiety, he will need a patient human to help him settle in and regain his confidence. It takes a little longer for him to settle than other dogs, so it's important that his adopter is prepared to do the work. Due to his anxiety, he would be best suited to someone that is home most of the time, or that can take him to work.
It may take a bit for Steven to settle, but once he does he is super affectionate and goofy. He likes toys and absolutely loves chicken. He loves getting in your face for pats and getting belly rubs. Steven doesn't seem to have much training, but is slowly learning as he goes.
Steven has strong prey drive, he would not be suited to a home with small animals. He does like to play with his foster siblings so a playful mate would suit him. He is good on a lead and enjoys going on walks, and exploring. He is a picky eater, so a special diet might be needed.
Steven is a small/medium dog at about 10kg, and a great size for any family, he has a very deep bark for his size which is handy. With his longer coat he will need regular brushing to avoid matting. He also dug out of his first foster homes yard so security will be needed.
He is a very good boy, looking for love, security and safety so he can live his best life.
Steven is $350 to adopt and comes desexed, microchipped, C5 vaccinated, HW tested (negative) and given flea/tick/worm prevention.
