Marnie is a sweet, now retired, mama ready to spend the rest of her days relaxing and soaking up the good life as an indoor cat. She has spent her entire life being a brave girl, from tiny kitten to protective mama so it's understandable she is still coming around to humans and life indoors.
Over the last several weeks we've seen some promising progress, including Marnie accepting gentle pats with familiar humans and hanging out more in the common spaces. While she might hiss, she is definitely not a fighter and would prefer to hide when feeling overwhelmed.
She is treat motivated, which is great because for helping her come around at the beginning. We are certain with the right person (possibly a confident resident cat) and a little extra love, this girl will continue to blossom over time.
If you'd like to meet her, please submit an application (see below) – the more information you can provide about your household, lifestyle and history with cats, the better 🤗
‼️ As with most cats in a new environment or with new people, she may be slightly shy at first, but give her some time and treats and she's sure to come around.
Medical notes
No known pre-existing conditions.
Adoption details
If interested in a cat that is available for adoption, we require you to fill out an adoption application, and one of our lovely foster carers will give you a call to organise a time for a meet and greet.
Please note: As we are all volunteers with limited time up our sleeves, we prefer all interested potential adopters to fill out an application, rather than send an enquiry, as this helps us know more about you and what you are after, and saves us all a lot of time!
Apply here for a cat or kitten: https://form.jotform.com/sugarandspicecatrescue/cat-adoption-questionnaire
If forms aren't for you though, please SMS us (the number is in the link) and we can call to go through the form over the phone.
